Question: Logic puzzle, driving me nuts!!?
I have a logic puzzle that i was presented with a few days ago and it is driving me insane! Nobody I have asked seems to be able to figure it out, so i thought someone on here might be able to!. I have not solved this, but it is driving me insane not knowing the answer! here it is:
The waitress, who had the name Rosie stitched on her blouse, took a pencil and asked, "What’ll it be today!?" "I’ll have the daily special", I said, indicating a sign behind the counter:
Daily Specials -- $5!.95
Monday -- Meat loaf
Tuesday -- Fried chicken
Wednesday -- Pork chops
Thursday -- Ham
Friday -- Swiss steak
Rosie turned to look!. "Oh, the sign’s all wrong now", she said!. "The special you want was served yesterday!. And what the sign calls yesterday’s special is actually being served tomorrow!. Today’s special is fried chicken!."
Tell on what day this happened and how the daily specials had been rearranged!.

We know several things from this!. First, the man did not initially order fried chicken!. He also could not have ordered meat loaf or swiss steak, since he was ordering on a day where the waitress was able to talk about yesterday's or tomorrow's specials (no specials on sunday or saturday)!. We can extrapolate and determine that he was not ordering pork chops (since that would mean fried chicken would be moved to thursday, instead of the day in question)!. We now know he was ordering the Ham!. THis means fried chicken is now thursday's special, ham is wednesday's, and pork chops is friday's special!. This leaves meat loaf and swiss steak!. Note that the waitress said the specials on the sign were ALL wrong, not just mostly wrong!. This means meat loaf cannot be on monday, so it must be on tuesday!. Swiss steak then goes on monday!. To summarize:
Monday - swiss steak
Tuesday - meat loaf
Wednesday - Ham
Thursday - fried chicken
Friday - pork chops!.
