Question: Why do they make racial jokes at work!?
My co-workers are constantly making racial jokes at work!. They are abundantly aware that my wife is African-American!. This has caused me much pain and sorrow!. The other day at choir practice during "Bringing in the Sheaves," I broke down in tears due to the turmoil this causes me!. also-why do they keep asking me what P!.O!.N!.T!.I!.A!.C!. stands for!? We work for Nissan! How can I make them aware of my sensibilities!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Dude I love bringing in the sheaves! But you can do two things, one inform your human resources department of whats going on!. I'm sure Nissan doesn't want any accusations of racism floating around or two crack jokes about their ugly, old, flat booty(and i didn't want to say booty) wives! My company has required ethics training which includes how you treat people!. My company also has training regarding how to handle a hostile work environment!. Is there a supervisor or human resources person you can safely talk to about your situation!? If not, your company may have an ethics hotline where you can call to report the behavior!. Hostile work environments should not tolerated and a company that big should have policies to protect you from such!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm kinda of use to it here, I live in Texas and everybody jokes around like that!. It's not right I agree but I honestly don't know what to say to them anymore!. I have told them plenty of times to shut up they can hurt peoples feelings, but no!.!.!. they are ignorant!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

You can either ignore them and they will be tired of making jokes as it had no affect on you!.
