If the headlines were "thousands detained at protest." Would you care, or be interested in following the story

My point is that most of Americans either don't care and don't want to know or simply follow the head lines.
I think the government could get away with locking up thousands of people indefinitely without any legal proceedings and no more than a hand full of family members and friends would pay any attention.
This scares me. I want people to care what is happening. We could move right on into a Germany like state with the attitude of our basic citizenship.
Please understand this is not fantasy land. People really don't give a hoot about there freedoms in action.
If you hear things about a police state and people being locked up for excersieing there constitutional rights you must act on yours before you loose them.
You don't have to like the people you defend. You don't have to agree with there cause. All you have to do is love your country and want to protect your rights and the freedom of all Americans, even those you disagree with.
