Are all telemarketers just scams, or are they really trying to sell you something?

I kind of got "tricked" into buying magazine subscriptions for a year. You see, I had been online all day looking at honeymoon resorts and was looking at prices and also little sweepstakes too, I was giving out information left and right for registries, etc.
So, I got a call on my cell phone saying I had a telegram and then it went on to say I had been selected for a 3day 2 night vacation, had to be 18 etc. so I was like oh, I'll hear this out. Then they said I they would send me 5 magazine subscriptions for 3.85/week=$199.98, they were magazines I liked, and they said I could switch them out with other magazines at any time, etc. Soo, has anyone had experience with this? Do you think I'll get a 3day 2night vacation, or just the magazines... or neither!
