Premiere magazine ending publication need new movie mag?
i loved premiere, because it didn't cover just the major blockbusters but independent films as well. any ideas of a good movie magazine that covers only movies...not entertainment weekly. i was thinking empire or total film? are british movie mags better or worse or the same as american ones?

I find the British magazines far better than anything we have here in the US. I tend to prefer "Empire" over "Total Film" but both are good.
They are sometimes 'behind' what is playing here, for example, I picked up the May 07 issue which just came out and it's got a feature on "Blade Of Glory". Overall, though, they cover all types of movies, not just the big ones. Their features are excellent and far more in depth than anything Premiere ever did with interviews with some of the stars, producers, etc.
They are expensive to subscribe to because of the postage from England, but you can purchase them at Barnes & Noble with a membership card and get 10% off. And periodically they offer an extra 15% off to members so you save a bit more.
