No - it does not affect your credit as in your credit rating for buying a house or car...that is affected by your payment on loans (like a car loan) and by the payment of your credit cards. These things are reported to the 3 major credit reporting bureaus.
Yes - it affects your credit with that company - and sometimes others. You could end up in a bad credit file then you would not receive special offers for things. You will not be allowed to subscribe to other magazines from that company in the future without paying first. Publisher's like to try to eliminate those with bad credit as much as possible as it is very expensive to produce and send magazines to someone who doesn't pay.
