Does magazine subscriptions mess up your credit score?
A few months ago, a friend and i got into an arguement, and she subscribed me to a lot of magazine subscriptions online saying i would bill them later. When we got all of these magazine bills, my mother told me i had to pay them, or it would mess up my credit score. Is that true?
Answers:
you either have to pay them or call them up and tell them you never subscribed and want to cancel. if you start to get collection notices from random companies, you have to call them up or they will put a bad debt on your credit rpt. happened to me once.
