People are ALWAYS telling me that!?
People are always telling me, "Oh, Nikki, you want to be a magazine editor for a good magazine here? Ha! That's stupid, it's takes FOREVER for you to become an editor, and how would you know you'd even make it?" I always get put downs or bad remarks because what I want to do. I know it's hard to do, but I am a hard worker, I can do it if I really wabted too. And I do. But, all these bad remarks and comments are hurting my feelings.
I have a couple of questions I need for you to answer for me if you don't mind answering.
1) What should I do?
2) Is my job really stupid?
3) How long would it take for me to become an editor?
4)Do I get an office/personal assistant?
5)Does it pay well?
6) WHAT SHOULD I DO?
I feel so bad...

Most of my life I was told that it wasn't possible to make a living at art. Well, I am. So try to understand that the bad vibes from others is usually just their wish that you find a more secure (to them) way to make a living. If you want it badly enough, go for it! Don't let others make your choices for you.
As for info, why not contact editors of some magazines that you like? Most people will help, and enjoy talking about their careers.
