I guess it's because the fact that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes got together in a haertbeat and had a baby which they hid from the public for pretty long. And the fact that Tom is a Scientologist led many people into mocking that his baby is an alien which obviously was not true. Plus they had a kind of exclusive photoshoot which I don't know if People had with Shiloh and her parents.
