No, but I have done. I take it you're wanting to get into the industry, then? Because you will need a lot of (unpaid :-( ) work experience and a lot of determination. Applying for work experience at these places is the same as going for a job; they get 30 CVs a week or more, depending what Title you're applying to. You MAY get an interview and this may or may not lead to a placement. You'd be placed in the Fashion cupboard, and your role would be eg, liasing with stores/designers, collecting delivries, after shoots sending the right item back to the right designer, all the paperwork, etc. It is worth it and it helps you get to know people in the industry, and familiarise yourself with designers. Don't expect to be writing or styling, though. That may come if you get taken on as a Fashion Assistant at the magazine. You need to work damn hard, treat it as an actual job and never complain. Not being harsh as I know how it can be, but there are hundreds of other people who want your placement who won't complain so just pretend it's all wonderful.
