When I lived in Germany and was forced to speak German if I wanted any conversation, it was easier than learning French at school as we didn't do much conversation, so I would advise you to get one of these Cd's that you repeat after the teacher or you can get it for the PC where you can see the teacher too. Good luck most English people have difficulty speaking the language and and need a spellchecker/grammar checker in our brains
