I remember during WW2, me and Chalky were stationed in the trenches when this great big Jerry plane flew over head and started firing staples at us, but not the kind you use to attach one piece of paper to another, the kind that keeps time and space adhered to one another.
Anyway, Chalky got one right in the bahoogies and he knew there and then that he was done for. His dying wish was that, when I got back to blighty, I was to find his wife (widow I guess) and tell her how much he loved her.
In truth, when I found her, she was a bit of an old slag so I did her up the wrong 'un.
True story.
