Show her all the positive, healthy things in Seventeen. She may think it is trashy or too mature for you to read, but show her that it is perfectly appropriate. She may not realize that Seventeen has positive messages about body image, self esteem, etc. I did the same thing with my mom a few years ago when I was your age. Good luck!
