What do the stores do with those old and leftover issues of magazines?!

Question:

What do the stores do with those old and leftover issues of magazines?

Almost every magazine company (such as Seventeen, Cosmogrl, Elle Girl, and so on) has an issue coming out per month. Ever time I go to any store, I only see the issues of the current month. For example, the October issues are gone when the November issues are out. I doubt all those magazines are bought. So what do the stores do to those old and leftover magazines? Do they give them away or keep them somewhere?

Answers: they are returned to the vendor who hopefully take it to a paper recycling place to be made into other paper products like tissue and paper towels or cardboard Good question. I'm going to check back and see if they hold on to them and I can score a couple issues. But my guess is they send them in for recycling or back to the company and they do whatever with them there. The delivery people (not the store) throw them in large recycle bins out back. If you want a back issue of something search ebay or contact the magazine . They get sent back to publisher/publishing co. or vendor for the magazines. Then, probably recycled? Store owners don't own those magazines on display. Its on consignment so whatever not sold are taken back by the suppliers and recycled to produce another finished product. the vendor who places them there takes them back to the company, they are then sent to a mass recycling center and then reintroduced months later as a new issue Some are returned to the publishers. You can buy back issues from them in some cases. I have ordered old issues of "International Wristwatch', "MuscleMag' and "Playboy". Others must be discarded.
