Question: its my mates name.she hates it and wants to get a new one but i think she's. after all, people say the name thats given to you is what makes you,you and its your persionality.so if my mate changes her name she changes herself and i dont want her to.

are you sure it isn't Vanessa? If it's Venessa, then no wonder she hates it-a made-up/mis-spelt name.
I think its ok, not the best but certainly not the worst name in the world and i agree with you about your name making you who you are.
