Answers: I would like to get my Nanna a years subscription for Xmas
My gran died at 90 earlier this year - she loved to read Womans Own & Womans Realm - she sometimes would read Chat and Take a Break - coz they had 'scandelous' stories - and she'd tell me all abouth them! Gosh! I do miss her..!!
Playgirl ?
Anne Summers catalogue
my nan still reads cosmopolitan magazine! but i think maybe house & home would be more approiate
my granny really liked the peoples friend,,, it has got storey's recipes and kitting patterns and also a weekly articles about different places and interesting topics
WOMANS WEEKLY AND PEOPLES FRIEND, ARE GREAT FOR THE OLDER GENERATION
Peoples Freind
There is a magazine especially for older people called 'Yours'. I am sure your nan would enjoy it.
call an old peoples home and ask the folks who work there. They'll know what's popular
It depends on Nanna, but my Mum (heading towards her 70s) would probably recommend The Lady - like Woman's Weekly but a bit more grown up. If she's a touch conservative and anti-Europe, I heartily recommend This England. Some lovely stories and articles, but my pro-EU boyfriend just laughs at the patriotism stuff.
The magazine 'YOURS' has a lot of information and interesting stuff for people of that age. Nostalgia stuff about the past.
Go into any newsagents and have a look through one.
Nuts
Womens Realm or Peoples Friend.
