One of the leading monthly magazine is fooling people by promising sweepstakes p!

Question: They started initially by announcing that I am are one of the very few to get the prize through email and asked me to choose a book and send the certificate which they gave through post and in an yes enevelope which they themselves gave .Subsequently a truck load of posts have come from them to me and I have ended up spending lot of money for the books that they are offered hoping that I may be the lucky winner. But the sad part is that even after one and half years the magazine has not done the lucky draw and the prizes. Can any one tell the name of the magazine and have you had that experience?

gosh..i have had this experience...R D does that...if u understand what that is..i dont want to take the name of the mag.they really started with envelopes..offering good books and making bisg promises then they again sent another...nearly every other day the postman would drop a letter from them...then came the stickers of cars to choose from...innova...or honda city...or baleno...and then the keys to match...then after a year when i moved to another city i changed my address and sent them my new address so that if i am the lucky one to win then my vouuchers should not get lost..but soon after i realised that it was a big rig marole...they would usually send two envelopes..one with a 'yes' and other with a 'no'.....i started returning the 'NO'envelopes.....and Lo!!!! to my expectation those mails have stopped coming...its just a way to ENTICE the customer to purchase their products...here ...books and CD's...i will not get duped....its the silliest thing to do...the saddest prt is that they play with people's emotions and sentiments...making big promises.....one should keep away from such sweepstakes.....

Doesn't matter. You have the power in your hand to not answer these types of scams. There are no "free lunches" and if you hadn't entered a contest, you surely could not have won the prize. We all want something for nothing, but that is the marketing people's approach to those who answer the ad. For everyone who answers those stupid ads, there are hundreds who do not.
I delete on the computer anything saying I won something. It is a scam because I don't enter contests. When the come on comes in the mail, I throw it away. Why! It is called marketing, and it has been around for years. Even though people are warned about them, there are some who still fall for it.
Stop buying magazines, and don't answer any more ads. And don't blame them. They are doing what works for them; you need to take control of your spending and know that you don't win contests you don't enter.
Have a happy holiday.

i fail to comprehend ur question. !
Only one leading magzine is fooling while other are either not leading or fooling.?
Leadership or leading in business is art of fooling the people. The skill lies not in getting caught in the Act.
All prize exploit the get 'quick rich mentality '.
Quick rich also means bite the dust.
If getting rich was so easy every body would have become rich but is not so
device some way by which u can fool the leading magzine or in the alternate lead the fools
