As long as you are asking people to "try" the offer then you are doing your job... I work retail and we solicite credit.. Most people DON'T want to sign up for "free" magazines because 8 weeks is plenty of time to forget to cancel the subscription so it's easier to say "NO THANKS". Just keep asking and don't feel badly that people don't want it... You can tell people to mark it on their calender when the offer ends w/ the toll-free number to call that might help... good luck

You might mention the names of the magazines in the offer. I was at BB this weekend and the girl mentioned the offer but not the magazines. I still would not have signed up but it might spark the interest of other people.

People are bombarded with "offers" all the time, through mail, phone, email, etc. So we have a tendency to just blow these things off. Your best bet is to get as much info across to the person as you can in one sentence.

Don't take it personal, some just don't want to spend the money or don't want to sign up for subscriptions.
