I will add that you better have deep pockets.. everything you do will be cash upfront.
Magazines and restaurants have a high failure rate.
If you want to start a magazine to you have an outlet for your personal opinion.. save your money and start a blog. It's far cheaper.
I would suggest starting with a online magazine. writer some articals on topics you like. Do not worry about making money to start with just see where it goes and if you like it. If you start to get enough readers then consider bringing on more writers and someone to help you with the business side of things.
