A editorial can be a collaboration of photographs which is usually at the heart of the magazine. Depending on the magazine type you want to do a editorial that has do with such. Something usuall creative and eye-popping with captions, and descriptions.
My suggestion is do a interview of someone in your school who you think students and staff would be interested to hear about. It can be a student, teacher, principal, dean or a favored community leader. Editorials usually contain photographs so take some photos of your interviewee in action or whatever you choose.
Just a suggestion. Good Luck!

It's basically an opinion, observation, etc. from the editor of the magazine. It could be on something random or on the content of that months magazine.
I would go to the news stand and get Newsweek magazine. They've got something from the editor at the beginning of the mag each month.
