I don't see the controversy either. Some people said he was grabbing her by the waist and showing his teeth and it gave off a King Kong appearance. They also said he portrayed a mean black man. Crazy, isn't it? Some people really over analyze things. The mag said they thought the couple were "beautiful" together and that it why they shot that cover. I don't see the controversy myself, but every person has a different perspective I guess.
I think it's ridiculous. Whoever made it an issue is the one who perceived him to look "gorilla-like," in my opinion. I think it looks like a guy and a girl.
It sounds as if someone has a huge imagination. I see nothing controversial about the cover. There is a tallish and slender model and a big athlete on it. So what? Whoever imagined that cover is outrageous would really have a ball with pix of me and my lover Miyuki. She is 5'-0.5", 97 lbs., while I am 6'-1", 370 lbs. That is more like King Kong and Fay Wray than the VOGUE cover.
I think that LeBron and Giselle look beautiful together. To many people still find ways to make something seem racist. In MeganK.
