And just think how much more could be accomplished if people found something else to do with the time and energy they devote to that drivel.

I think it's a good idea and I'm a journalist (not a tabloid one). Maybe princess Diana would still be alive and perhaps Britney Spears could have some peace.

I haven't bought or looked at a tabloid magazine in years, but I know they are very popular.
Most people know that the stories in them are not true and they just buy them for entertainment.
I don't know what would show up next to replace it, but something would.
Well, even if no one bought the magazine, there is always the internet....
That would be amusing. More so, though, it disgusts me when I see sex advertised on every weeks' edition of Cosmo. That's an incredibly unhealthy magazine. It basically tells young women that you need to be thin and have a boyfriend. Sure, they have their little articles about self-esteem, but it is MASSIVELY over-shadowed by lustful BS.
I think there's more of a problem with the mags exploiting the celebs than the celebs exploiting their kids . . .
