Answers:
what kind of printwork!? like Sunday ads (target, Macy's etc) or what!? there's editorial print and then there's commercial print!. You're 13 so you can get away with less of a look (you know adults you gotta have abs and stuff to be in editorial pretty much!.) Look at the kids you see and see what hairstyles they have (so obviously no green hair or anythign right) study their poses and memorize them!.

Then find an agency that does acting and modeling (usually the case in smaller markets) In NYC or LA they might be separated, and they'll tell you what to do!. Usually the agent will get a cut of each paycheck you receive (so you don't have to pay any initiation fees or anything bogus!. You might have to get headshots, which if they don't offer to deduct it fro your first paycheck you can just get your own done!. Look at agency's and their websites and also look at the magazines you'd like to be in and use those poses!. It's not rocket science!.

Okay for commercials that depends!. Sometimes they hire models (meaning they just want a good looking person) but sometimes the same job is called acting, so you might be asked to take a class at the agency (or they might just tell ya what to look for like you just sign in, might fill out another form so if you get picked the stylist will know you're measurements (neck size, hat size, waist, pants length, shirt size, hair color, eye color, weight, height, etc) and you might just profile (turn to left/right and state your name and agency,) then walk out, or it could get elaborate, they might ask some questions or even give you a script!. that's it!. Get Roshumba William's Idiot's Guide to Modeling (they list the big agencies!. READ THIS BOOK AND apply it to you as a male!. So like if you're young looking they might not ask you to take off your shirt!. But if you look high schoolish you might get asked)

see if True Life I want ot be an actor or model is on youtube (that helped me get started) and watch 8th and Ocean and watch America's Next Top Model and Make me a supermodel!. those are pretty much hints at what you do!.

Once you get a lot of work (crossing fingers), get a manager, then a publicist (they both get no more than 20% so you're talking 60% max out of your paycheck, but say if it's a 3000 dollar gig then you walk away with around $1500 (minus taxes or you'll have to file a 1099 i think, sorry my parents file it for me!. YOu can also deduct your pictures and gym membership if used enough for taxes b/c that's how you make your money and those are expenses deductible!. If you need makeup keep the receipt for that to and use it!.)

HOPE THAT HELPS!!!

remember no matter what you shouldn't have to pay JACK to them initially!. They make a percentage (10-20% 15% is norm) off of you so if you don't work, they don't get paid!. Might take a class from them (highly advised especially if you're nervous or shy or a wallflower!.) and/or get photographs taken by them (as mentioned above) getting an agency portfolio (basically a thin thin notebook with your pictures in them ONLY FOR MODELS, with the name of the agency on the cover (again watch ANTM or 8th and ocean to see what they look like) could be optional!. My agency wasn't big enough so they didn't care but a major one might make you purchase one (or they'll take it out of your first check)!.

on go sees and auditions bring a book to read, b/c sometimes you WAIT!. They're late and dumb and you just gotta wait!. Or bring an IPod though i'd keep that with me while going in the audition!. I always bring a napkin b/c my face gets oily and i wipe my face before i get on camera so it looks better!. I also have an eye liner pencil that I use to darken my eyebrows b/c I put lines in them (like Kriss Kross used to have)

Since I don't know your location:
oh and if you're in a smaller market (say a popular city in Texas, you might be able to go to citysearch click your city and then type "modeling agency" or acting agency in the search box!. The agencies I'm with DON'T ADVERTISE usually in the section with the big ads!. They're just in regular listigns so it's like you gotta know their names!. also, if that doesn't work then go up to people in the mall that look like models/actors and ask them if they're signed and if so what agency!. Always give them a compliment!. that's sorta how i got started)
hope that helps

good luck!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

you need to find an agent to represent you, and a manager that will check on your agent and make sure they do their job,
make sure you have professional head-shots, but don't get them till you have your agent!.
make sure you have self confidence!!!

i've done a couple of commercials and i was approached in a mall, given a business card, and i went to the talent call, two weeks later i was doin a class and auditioning for a room full of agents,

hope i helped and goodluck!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
