Do you agree that some female teenage or young adult magazines should not be ava!

Question: Do you agree that some female teenage or young adult magazines should not be available to children!?
As you may know some teenage or young adult magazines include some content that is not suitable for childrens eyes!. Im 17 and recently was looking at a cleo magazine!. The magazine is good for woman my age and older, but it included some things that younger girls should not have acess to!. Such as a section about sex games and an article about males taking pills to effect ecrections!. I was shocked when i found that many girls between the ages of 9 to 13 were also reading this magazine!. Young girls should NOT be reading about sex games and erections!. I feel as though some of these magazines should not be availabe to younger girls!. Does anybody agree!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
These magazines of course should not be read by tweenagers or anyone under 16!. like movies have age certs to view perhaps these magazines need them too!.
Girls of a young age are probably reading them because they are curious, there is a lack of info for many children because of the lack of sex education both at home and school!.
Of course starting off your sex education with these magazines may lead to disaster, teen pregnancy, early sexually active age etc

Children need to be treated as children, an age for sex will come but it should not be this young!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

people underestimate preteens and what they know!. 9-13 year olds do know about sex and erections etc!. once people get older they forget that and get too overprotective!. 13 year olds know just about everything a 17 year old knows, you just think they don't bc you think your superior!. no offense!.

You are not giving 9-13 year old's enough credit! They probably know more than you think!. Its a time of curiosity and kids that age are too embarrassed to ask their parents about stuff so they need to go elsewhere for their information!.

I remember how much I wanted to buy ' just seventeen' (UK magazine) when i was like, 11!. I was so scared the day i went to buy it because i was sure the newsagent was going to ask me for ID! then when i got it home i used to hide it under my pillow because i was scared my mum was going to shout at me, when she did find them she just burst out laughing and said that when she was my age she had been reading cosmopolitan (!!!)!. Funny though, because when I was 17 I would never have dreamt of reading 17 the magazine - i was too old for it and was reading cosmo myself!

I realize that 'cleo' has more adult content than seventeen does!. But what you should really be asking is - why aren't these kids getting this information from better sources!? And to all the people saying 'children should just be children' etc being curious about sex is part of being a kid! also the more informed kids are about sex, i think you'll find the less likely they are to make mistakes when it come to sex (unlike bristol palin!!) There will be people out there that think 'cleo' is too old for 17 year olds!. where will it end!?
