Writing a Cover Letter for Work Experience at a Magazine?!
Question: Writing a Cover Letter for Work Experience at a Magazine!?
ok so im second year university, my degree is communications and im majoring in journalism, I want to work in magazine journalism (preferably in fashion mags) and im applying for unpaid work experience at mags such as marie claire, instyle, etc!. I've filled out forms and all that jazz, but for most you need to include a cover letter/letter of introduction!. I'm not sure how to go about this!. I want to keep it pretty professional but I'm just not sure what to include!. Obviously I can't include a brief resume as I have no experience as yet!. Any ideas!? I want to make a great first impression!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Keep it brief!. Honest!.
When hiring people (my job) I look for people that have experience in life skills eg!. hobbies or lessons they have been involved in because their childhood is what made them the way they are today!. An athlete that is experienced in group sports ( teamwork) is different than an athlete that performs on their own eg!. gymnastics, ballet (ability and confindence to work on their own!.) These are just vague examples but they do give insight to people!. Therefore telling more about yourself than words alone!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I would add a short fashion article, so that they can also judge you by the way you write!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Keep it brief, to the point! Briefly highlight what you think is your strength area (skip the weak area!), and, your expectation (be positive!), and give the contact details accurately!Www@Enter-QA@Com
