The typical magazine will get anything up to 90 per cent of its revenue from advertising!. Only a small proportion will come from sales of the magazine, either through the shops or via subscriptions!.
Publishers are also generating revenue away from the print product, for example online and through events and conferences!.

They sell advertizing, like all medai -- newspapers, radio, TV, etc!. Print media get some income from selling their magazine or newspaper, but that is really not enough to cover costs!.!.!. Ads are the major source of income!.
