Hi!

I don't want to disappoint you!. But can you think of a building without a strong and stable foundation!. I think your answer will be in a negative!. Right!? I appreciate your planning to get into media!. It is a thrilling world out there!.!.!.full of extempore challenges peeping at the face every moment, daily a new project to work on and increasing fame!. But all this comes to those whose foundations are strong!.

If you think you have an inclination for the media - TV / Radio / Parties / Newspaper and other print media - you first need to sharpen your skills!. Doing a formal course in Journalism and Mass Communication would give you a winning edge!. You need to work on your verbal and non verbal (read, facial) communication skills, and might need to work on grammar as well!. More languages you know, more avenues you secure for yourself!. But start off with your native language!. Besides, you can try out at some local community radio center or TV center for any vacancy as an intern!. This would certainly boast up your confidence and also give you an insight of the profession you are passionate about!.

Hope this helps!.

Channel 4, T4 in particular put out open auditions every now and then!. Keep an eye out!. You could also try joining a casting company, but be careful with those!. I'm pretty sure you usually have to be 18, you could spend the next 2 years studying a relevent course or could get a job as a runner to see how the TV industry works, a lot of presenters start off as runners!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am also interested in careers in the media!. I think the best way of getting into the media would probably be work experience - half the stuff you do may seem pointless to you in comparison to your future plans, but you are lightly to get an insight into the industry and also gives you a way of getting noticed!. The BBC has some sort of work experience thing!. Hope this helps and good luck :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hospital radio is where many of them started!. You can also apply for a trainee ship with the beeb, or just ring and pester and visit and pester!. I had a book called how to get a career in radio but I never bothered to read it!. You would have to mix with all those gay beardies and ugly fat feminists!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

good advise is try to talk to your local towns news or newspaper and if there full of jobs try working a camera or writing because you'll be next in line, and if that doesn't work broadcast yourself on youtube who knows maybe someday you'll be famous Www@Enter-QA@Com

To have the best chance of becoming a TV presenter, you should do a degree in journalism!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

talk to some ediators or producers of local mags and stuffWww@Enter-QA@Com
