Those that have read King's "Dark Tower" series - Looking forward to t!

Those that have read King's "Dark Tower" series - Looking forward to the JJ Abrams movie adaptation?

I read the Dark Tower series and became fully engulfed in the story and characters. I secrectly always hoped that it would become a movie series (al la The Lord of the Rings) -- And in February King announced that "Lost" writer/producer J.J. Abrams had agreed to do "The Dark Tower"

For those of you that saw "Transformers", you probably saw the insane untitled "1-18-08" trailer (also done by Abrams) -- I doubt there is any connection, as "1-18-08" appears to be a Monster/Descruction Movie.

What are your thoughts regarding: A) How good the 1-18-08 trailer looks, knowing that "The Dark Tower" is in the hands of the same man?

It excites me to no end, and I really hope that he does justice to the Dark Tower series.

I am reading Song of Susannah now. Excellent Series. I am stoked to hear of a Movie adaptation. Have not seen the Transformers, but saw that preview at another movie (forget which one). Looks intrigueing. Not sure what it is for theough.
