If anybody watched the movie 1408 and understood it PLEASE help????????

1)okay when he was in the room was everything he was seeing real or was it because of the alcohol
2)was the manger a good guy or a bad guy
3)when he went on the ledge why wasnt there another room
4)what about the time that he saw himslef across the building was that real
5)why didnt anybody hear him screaming or everything that was happening in the room
6) when he was on the phone with the lady at the front desk was that really her talking or was it the whole evil thing of the room because she kept telling him to kill himelf
7)when he got out and supposly ended up in the hospital because he got hit by his board was that real or was he still in the room
8)did the hotel manger want him to die did the lady at the front desk want him to die
9)did he really see his daughter
10)why did all those other ppl kill themslefs and he didnt?what did they see? why couldnt they handle it and he could
11)what was the whole thing with his daughter

1. What he was seeing was not caused by the alcohol. He thought that he may have been drugged, but the proof was when the tape recorder has his dead daughter's voice on it.
2. The manager was good. He did everything he could to keep him from going in there.
3, 4, 5. You have so sort of accept the fact that in fiction, anything can happen. It's a supernatural room, so things happen that just don't seem right.
6. The lady on the phone was the room, not a real person. The real front desk person would not have been telling him to kill himself.
7. The part where he though he was in the hospital was just the room playing tricks on him. It gave him the belief that he was free, then pulled the rug out from under him, making him feel even worse.
8. Nobody wanted him to die except the room. The hotel manager tried his best to keep him out of the room.
9. Yes, he really saw his daughter. The tape recorder was the proof.
10. He was about to kill himself, but he was strong enough, and smart enough, to realize what he had to do to destroy the room, and to not let the room win.
11 and 12. He went into the room with a history (his daughter and father) and the room used it against him.

One thing you have to realize, is it was not a haunted room. It's just evil, with no explanation for it.
