Is the site ssupload.com illegal?
theres this site called ssupload, is it illegal, idk if it is cuz theres lots of movies that arent out on dvd yet you can watch kind of like youtube, i dont see how it would be illegal considering they dont bust people who watch copyrighted clips on youtube, from movies and tv shows?? dont say no just because you're against pirating, it want the real answer

Well, the real answer is no, it is not legal.
YouTube is a little different, as they are owned by an American company, so all the lawsuits are against YouTube itself... there are billions of dollars in lawsuits against them.... and they are working out deals where YouTube sends royalties to the owners of the copyrighted material.
ssupload is based in the West Indies, outside the USA, so they can't go after the site too easilly, so they will go after end users.
So yes, according to US and International Copyright Law, and the Millenium Copyright Act, receiving, viewing, downloading, uploading, or receiving a stream of copyrighted material is illegal, and can have criminal and civil penalties.
And yeah, it's illegal in Canada as well.
