Yes, Hairspray was indeed a good movie, even if it was a remake from the first one released in 1988 with Sonny Bono, which was later made into a Broadway play in 2002.
The story line was superb, and the computer graphics which made John Travolta look like a woman was out of sight, the material used to keep the movie's time line to the 1960's was a grand feat in itself to make sure that the story line was a good as anyone can get to believe that you were there sort of speaking. It made me feel young again.
