Why can't they make a movie without all the profanity?!

Question:

Why can't they make a movie without all the profanity?

I am not a prude but man, there doesn't seem to be a movie out there that doesn't use f*** as every other word. It is not necessary. Real people don't talk like that in their everyday lifes. I have always thought that people who swear a lot are not capable of expressing them selves well so they resort to profanity. For example, Knocked Up, which had some funny parts to it was just overboard with the language issue. I liked the movie and I am just using it as an example.

Answers:

I saw a movie on HBO recently called "Roll Bounce" that was about some kids on the south side of Chicago in the '70's that are into roller disco (I know, the idea seems dumb, but there was nothing on at the time & I was bored).
It was actually an entertaining movie, but here's the hook - given the fact that this was set on Chicago's south side and 90% of the cast was African-American, the only curse word in the movie was "damn". But in this movie, it worked; it actually made me get into the movie. Unfortunately, when the cast is of an ethnic background, the profanity flows like water because the producers may think it adds an edge and makes the movie seem "real" in thier eyes.
I found it refreshing that here were some producers who made this movie, in that setting, and didn't feel the need to throw in the F-Bombs. Wish there were more like them.
