What did you know about Stauffenberg?
I'm from Germany and pretty pissed, that Tom Cruise is know playing that man in his new film. Just want to know, what people outside of Germany know about Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg.

Today is July 20th. Is that a coincidence you ask that question today? I guess not.
Claus Schenk Count von Stauffenberg (often spelled Claus von Staffenberg) is quite well know among WW II history buffs, but I doubt he's widely known, especially not outside Europe.
He was, of course, featured in movies like "Der Untergang" (see link) and in recent books like "The Hitler Book: The Secret Dossier Prepared For Stalin", but I doubt he can be considered famous.
