ok,WHY do sum directors/producers,etc. claim that their movies r based on tru events??they dont actually xpect me 2believe that do they?!it duznt make sense 2me,do they actually think im stupid enuf 2believe that the dead can rise? wut kinda b.s. r they tryin 2spread???i found the other q. sum1 asked about whether it was tru or not, so that answers 1 q.-NOT that i woulda believed otherwise if ne of the answers had claimed that it were tru. i HAV noticed that there r incredibly gullible ppl out there, but wut i wanna know still is WHY directors "waste their breath" like that. i mean, come ON, 'split dogs' & those cut up corpses that still chase u around?(just like on the adams family they hav that hand that moves around by itself, 'thing').that didnt even look like a zombie, it was so yellow & fake looking. that only made the movie look all the more fake.thats the first zombie movie ive seen that claimed that, & thats also wen i discovered that Night of the Living Dead was "real" 2.

i also noticed they mentioned Night of the Living Dead throughout the movie but i just stayed gullible. i just kept thinking 2myself, 'ya, wutever'!

paha4u, uhh, HECK YA!! ty, i totally get it now.

"based" on a true story or "based" on true events are totally different then "true stories or events" If a movie or book is "based" on a true story only one small, minute part of that movie may even closely resemble the actual event or story. It is marketing....people take something small that is somewhat interesting, and mold it, and change it until the "true" event has manifested itself into a movie or book that is more marketable and interesting to the public.
And for somethign like Night of the Living Dead-when they claim it's based on a true story...the true part may only be the fact that some deceased bodies were found unearthed outside of the their casket........these people then took this little fact and created an entire fictional movie around one small true fact... does this make sense?
