Can I see the new Harry Potter film?
Basically, I have a friend coming into town who is a huge HP fan. I, on the other hand, have never even seen any of the movies / read any of the books. She wants to see the movie tonight, and I'm wondering if I go with her, will I have any clue what's going on? Should I have seen the other films before I go see this one?

You won't really comprehend everything, but you'll still enjoy the film. Afterwards, though, go ahead and see the other ones. Even if you don't like the books or the genre, they are still examples of fine films.
