I'll swear by April Fools' Day! It plays like your typical slasher movie, but it has the most unique and unexpected ending. My sixteen year- old niece, who can't be phased by anything (she's so above us earthly beings!) was flipping through the channels late one night. Mind you, she'd already seen every Friday the 13th movie, every Nightmare on Elm Street movie, and I Saw What You Did Last Summer. She'd watched Children of the Corn about 50 times, and preferred that to Poltergeist! (Poltergeist spooked her). Well, it ended up on this channel, and I immediately recognized April Fool's Day, which I hadn't seen since my niece was a little girl. I said, "That's April Fool's Day!" The channel had already turned, but surprisingly my niece flipped it back (probably out of pure boredom). We watched the last 15 minutes of the movie. Of course, I knew what was coming, but she didn't! She calmly watched the kids get killed one by one ... but in that last moment, when the surprise came, she jumped out of her skin, breathing an expletive! After she'd calmed down, she looked at me and said, "That's the scariest d--- movie I ever saw!" Guess that only goes to prove that older movies that 'suggest' rather than 'show' are more interesting ... and scarier!
