Who where the temptations?!

Question:

Who where the temptations?

Answers:

Well The Tempations consisted of David Ruffin (the incredible ad libber singer), Paul Williams (the showstopper), Eddie Kendricks (the amazing styling falsetto), Melvin Franklin (the booming bass), and Otis Williams in the early days! From 1964-1968! Before David there was Elbridge Bryant but he got fired because he got into a confrontation with Paul and for his attitude! David and Melvin were distant cousins! But anywho their first big hit was The Way You Do The Things You Do which hit #11 in the pop charts! Back then they didn't have R&B charts! Then in the year 1965 David took them to the top #1 with My Girl! After that it was a string of hits including: It's Growing, Since I Lost My Baby (which there's no footage anywhere of them performing this song!) , My Baby, Get Ready, Ain't To Proud To Beg, Beautys Only Skin Deep (one of my all time faves including Paul's For Once In My Life), I Know I'm Losing You, You're My Everything, All I Need, I Wish It Would Rain, Don't Look Back, After that David was released of all his ties with the Temptations because of his "ego" and other things and they brought in Dennis Edwards from the Contours (Do You Love Me) and they started with the Psychedelic Phase! They won Motown and themselves their first grammy with Cloud 9! And had a string of hits including: Runaway Child, Can't Get Next To You, Psychedelic Shack. In 1971 Eddie Kendricks left the group on a high note leaving them with Just My Imagination! And Paul Williams was forced to leave the group due to health and alcohol problems! He had sickle cell anemia! The new group including Ricky Owens and Damon Harris brought the group and Motown two more grammys with Papa Was A Rolling Stone! By 1973 Paul Williams had sadly passed away! In 1982 the groups was reunited with David, Eddie, and Dennis (whom had left the group a few times) and started the Reunion Tour and had a hit with Rick James (Melvin's nephew) with the song Standing On The Top! The nineties were troubling times for all Temptations fans when we lost David, Eddie, and Melvin unfortunately! Dennis is in his own group The Temptations Revue featuring Dennis Edwards. There was a mini-series (which gave more insight of the Classic 5 era) made of the group which was based on Otis' autobiography he wrote on the Temptations!

I personally only enjoy the tempts music from the years 1960-1971! After that in my opinion the group is not my taste!

But anywho Paul Williams was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 along with the David, Eddie, Dennis, Otis and Melvin and they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999!
