Why don't they make Harry Potter's eyes green in the films?!

Question:

Why don't they make Harry Potter's eyes green in the films?

Why is it, in the Harry Potter books, he is supposed to have green eyes, but in the films why don't they use contacts or editing to make them green as danniel radcliffe's eyes are blue. It's not a hard job is it and because J.K Rowling mentions it in every book they should do that.
Are they not to use coloured ontacts on him or something?

I noticed in the new film he does have green eyes but in previous ones they are not green. WTF?

Answers:

If you noticed, in this film, they were only green while he was being possessed by Voldemort (which is a CGI effect). As for the other times, maybe Daniel has a problem when he tries to wear contacts. Some people can't. If this is the case, the film makers probably decided that's a small concession to have an actor who can make you believe he's Harry.
