In the movie transformers, why do the computer and the escalade suddenly turn in!

In the movie transformers, why do the computer and the escalade suddenly turn into the wierd looking robots?
You know when the guy in the streets is holding some computer thingy and it grows hands then the girls on the escalade, the robot jumps out of the steering wheel? Why does all that happen?
Answers:
because the allspark thing releases some energy that makes it into a robot . like when they put the cell phone in the tank and it turned into a little robot.
that was like the whole point of the movie
