Do the movie theaters ever clean their seats?
Do they spray them down with something?
Answers:
When I worked in several movie theaters, we had a time limit to clean a theater before the next crowd would come in. Depending on when the next film starts, they clean it up as fast as they can. We would have the trash cans ready, brooms and dustpans and extra trash bags. And a mop and bucket in case of a spill. Sometimes we had 15 min. to clean, sometimes more. And often we would have barely enough time to do a thorough job depending on the crowd (Summer movie season is a great example). We never sprayed the seats, unless it was something sticky (A can that you would spray to break up gum is one item) At the end of the night, an outside work crew comes in and cleans throughout the night so the theater would look nice and clean when it opens.
