Is it good to buy things on ebay?

Well it depends what you're buying and who you're buying it from. I personally never buy from anyone with less than a 99.7% feedback score. If you're just buying a t-shirt or something and it says new and looks new, then it doesn't really matter where or who you get it from. But if you're buying something important like a car part, you might want to be more careful. They might say it's new but it might be very used and just cleaned up to look new (there are some dishonest sellers out there), so you might not be getting as good of a deal as you think you are.

Always always always read their feedback rating. They might have a low rating because they did poorly 5 years ago, but within the last year, they might have 100% feedback, in which case they're not so bad. Or maybe they're just not so great at shipping things on time, which would make their feedback score low but the things they sell could still be top quality. Go through the first 10 or so pages of feedback. If people were saying they never got what they ordered, or that it was in much worse condition than the seller said, or the item is obviously not authentic, then move on to another seller.

Use your best judgment. And if your gut is telling you it might not be a good idea, you can always email the seller and ask for more specific information. Sometimes they might be selling 50 of the same thing and just use the same picture for everything. But read all the item descriptions first. There's always a little bit of fine print... I can't tell you how many times people have bid upwards of $80 for a palm pilot case or something and probably didn't read that the palm pilot in the picture wasn't included... Be a smart shopper and ebay is a great place to get really good stuff. I got my boyfriend a brand new white Carolina Panthers (Julius Peppers) authentic jersey for $25 (INCLUDING shipping and handling)! It was in PERFECT condition, but since no one bid higher, I got a once in a lifetime deal! That jersey was $275 on nfl.com NOT including S&H!! So yes, it is good to buy some things on ebay sometimes lol!

And there's always stories of people buying things on ebay for really cheap and then later finding out they're antiques or something and worth a fortune. You might just get lucky :-)

As long as you A) check their feedback, B) read all the fine print, and C) are confident in what you're buying, then yea, it is good to buy things on ebay.
