who hurels these little frisbie things, but they are like parisites. I have not seen this since I was a kid. All i can remeber is that I like the movie. It used to be on HBO and Cinemax a long time ago.

...you're oh-so talking about one of the campiest sci-fi/horror flicks ever made, from 1980, and entitled "Without Warning"....with a most familiar story that predates the 1987 film, "Predator" (i.e.,'alien comes down to earth to hunt humans'), and a slate of some of the best character actors, including Jack Palance, Martin Landau, Neville Brand, Cameron Mitchel, Larry Storch, and an early performance by actor David Caruso.
Ironically, stuntman Kevin Peter Hall, who played the rasta-farria-looking alien Predator creature, along side Arnold Schwartzenegger, also played the silent, grim and forebiding bulbulous-headed alien hunter in THIS film, as well.
The special effects, as you may well recall, were some of the most enjoyably corny ever put to screen....and didn't you just love those damn fried-egg-looking, frisbee-flying parasites, that the alien was flinging about???
This film has been on my want list almost forever; it has never been released on VHS tape, nor DVD. However, I DID manage to locate a DVD-R of the film, a few years ago, at the yearly International ComicCon, in San Diego (in fact, it's coming up again, in a couple of weeks).
I have high hopes that SOMEONE finally picks this one up for official release; heck, if MGM can finally release a couple of my long-lost favorite drive-in style sci-fi/horror films, namely "Chosen Survivors" and "Food of the Gods" (coming up, this September/October), than could "Without Warning" be too far behind????
...I guess we'll just have to stay tuned!!!
