Need help finding the name of an old adventure movie?!

Need help finding the name of an old adventure movie?

I remember seeing a movie where a family is stranded on an island and escape it by using an old world war 2 bomber airplane
as a boat. In one of the scenes they are in the plane on the water and catch fish by attracting them with light. The movie seemed like it was filmed in the 60s. If this movie rings a bell to any of you please tell me what the name of it is. Thanks
