How to organize an awesome Movie's Club gathering?

I started a Movie's Club, happening every Sunday 8pm. It's a good time to hang out and get to know new friends.
Last Sunday 5 of my coolest friend turned up.I use the projector, along with DVD Player and sound system ready. The room was air conditioned.
I have another place where there's a front porch where you can have some barbecue session while watching movies inside.
My questions are, how do I get more people to come? Is Sunday 8pm a good time?
What other ideas to make this event a cool one? ,

Good point, especially the fact about people have to work or study on Monday morning. Those 5 friends who came, they are university students. I am working 9am Monday.
Usually I send out smses on Wed, giving them four choices, usually movies that aren't available in my country (in South East Asia, where "the tallest building in the world" is), they will agree on the title on Friday. There's a dinner time before the movie, I guess that's a good time to socialise.

8 on a sunday night seems a little late. I don't know about you but most ppl have to work on monday morning. Also what is tha point of the club? to watch movies? discuss them? watching only a certain type of movie? is someone different bringing a movie each week? are you only watching new releases or revisiting the classics? is there food and drink involved? who is responsible for providing that?

these are all questions that ppl may want to know the answers to when they find out about the club. Word of mouth is a good way to get new ppl coming. Have each of your 5 friends bring someone new next week. and progres from there. good luck, sounds like fun. Where are you at? maybe I will attend.
