The title of the first Harry Potter movie/book?!

The title of the first Harry Potter movie/book?

Here in the U.S., the first Harry Potter movie is titled "The Sorcerer's Stone"...but in the UK it's called "The Philosopher's Stone." I understand that certain movies have different titles in different parts of the world, but I don't see how you could title it Philosopher's Stone when they say "sorcerer's stone" several times in the movie. What's with the name change?

in the 1st movie, the scenes were they say "sorcerer's stone" were shot twice to say both "philosopher's stone" and "sorcerer's stone". i don't know why they changed the title, probably just to fit with american culture b/c we say sorcerer instead philosopher.
