What are your thoughts on Bruce Wills' character in DIE HARD movies, John McClan!

What are your thoughts on Bruce Wills' character in DIE HARD movies, John McClane? Like him? Dislike him? Why?

Is he someone you'd like as a friend or not? Why or why not? Is he just a one-dimensional character or do you feel he's more fully developed in the films than what some critics say?

Yes, I hate Bruce Willis the person but I don't hate the character he played in SIXTH SENSE or necessarily dislike John McClane, the character he plays in DIE HARD movies. I would hope people can separate the person from the character and vice versa.

Bruce Willis, the man, may do some stupid things in his personal life, but John McClane is a good guy. He's tough and he has a sense of humor and in the first two movies, he was very dedicated to his wife and kids.

Plus, only John McClane could come up with "Yippee Ki Yay, Motherf###er", right?
