Questions about Live Free or Die Hard?!

Question:

Questions about Live Free or Die Hard?

I've already watched the movie, so these questions might SPOIL it, if you haven't watched it.

There were parts that I didn't understand, so I would like it if you could help me:
1. Can someone run a brief description on all the organizations (couldn't understand/remember them all: FBI, DoD, NSA, SSA, CIA, FTC, FDA, and any other organizations that you might have heard of. Not just the full name, but a human-term description.
2. How could the hackers use the money, if the whole U.S. infrastructure is destroyed?
3. Is there really a Middleton, West Virginia? (power plant scene)
4. Was the whole FBI unit the bad guys, or what?
5. How could deleting a file explode a whole house?
6. Would the FBI really kill you, just because they want to?
7. The crashes/explosions/scene, looked so real. Did anybody ever see the movie being shot, and could give me some info. about that? I'm real curious.

If you can those all good, you'll get 10 points. Thanks.

Answers:

1) The "acronym soup:"

FBI = Federal Bureau of Investigation (we know this one)
DOD - Department of Defense (the military)
NSA = National Security Agency (super-secret spy stuff)
SSA = Social Security Agency (concerned with the accounts the bad guys were trying to rob)
CIA = Central Intelligence Agency (spy agency & intel analysis, not as secret as NSA)
FTC = Federal Trade Commission (they would be involved with the financial/bonds angle)
FDA = Food & Drug Administration (safety issues, particularly the recent peanut butter and spinach contamination scares)
Also (possibly) involved ...
DHS = Dept. of Homeland Security (domestic terrorism angle, plus the military would have to inform them that the helicopters flying to help Willis at the end were good guys)
NERC = North American Electrical Reliability Corporation (due to the large-scale power outages)

2) Buy precious metals (possibly abroad), and use them as barter to set themselves up as kings. This was talked about a lot during the Y2K scare.

3) No such town as Middleton, WV. They probably made up the place name to avoid having a real town freak out over the events portrayed in the movie.

4) Not all of the FBI was. Just Thomas Gabriel, an extremely disgruntled former employee, and some colleagues that he had the funds and/or influence to bring along for the ride.

5) You could have it trigger a signal to detonate the explosive.

6) They probably COULD, but they also probably wouldn't. They have pretty strict guidelines about the use of lethal forces (now even stricter, after incidents such as Ruby Ridge).

7) I couldn't tell you for sure on Die Hard 4, but Bruce Willis generally tends to do as many of his own stunts as possible. They would use look-a-like stuntmen for the really dangerous stuff, though.
