Those who love Horror, if you can choose one, which is your favorite sub-genre o!

Question:

Those who love Horror, if you can choose one, which is your favorite sub-genre of Horror? (And why?)?

Creature Features,
Zombies,
Gore,
Boogiemen / Deranged Killers,
Witches / Warlocks,
Ghosts,
Vampires,
Werewolves,
Exploitation,
Action Horror,
Comedy Horror,
or Demons?

Of course you don't have to choose from the list, as I may have left something out.

I'm just curious since I'm a Horror lover.

I can't choose just one. But I have it narrowed down to Gore and Zombies. My husband is all about the Boogiemen / Deranged Killers. What's YOUR pleasure?

Answers:

Gotta love those vampires. I loved both book and movie, "Interview with the Vampire," because Anne Rice is my favorite author, and Brad Pitt -- need I say more.... To him, I would say, "Bite me."

Beyond that, Bela Lugosi is my favorite vampire. I loved the expression he could show with his eyes, when he had caped arm covering lower half of his face. I loved the hokey transition from man to bat. The scripts were always so much fun -- and predictable.

"Fright Night" with Roddy McDowell is also a favorite. He played a not-so-fearless Vampire Slayer. Garlic anyone?

Wolfman with Lon Chaney, Jr. was also great. Such torment as he transformed. Such hairy arms and legs. Such sharp teeth. Seems he should have met up with Red Ridinghood, but he never did -- just the old gypsy woman.
