Children's Movie Title?!

Children's Movie Title?

There was a movie that I watched when I was younger and I know my nephew would love it, but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me! Also, I can only remember a few random details about it:

1.) It begins with a boy having a dream about being chased down by a train and i believe it ends with him in a kitchen and crashing through his front door at which point he wakes up and falls out of bed. Then, his father takes him to a parade. Later that same evening a zephyr/blimp comes and picks him up and takes him through the clouds to another land. When he arrives it is daytime and there are hot air balloons or something of the sort all over the place.
2.) This boy has a pet squirrel whose name is along the lines of Ickus or something.
3.) While in this fantasy land he meets the king and recieves the key to the city and soon finds a door that he is not to open because it contains this big evil black smoke-like thing that will take over their city.

I should have mentioned that its animated. I know it isn't The Never Ending Story and I have never heard of the other movie so that can't be it either. I wante to say the boys name and part of the title was Nemo or something like that. I even searched it on IMDB but I got nothing. Thanks anyways Don!
