Why are so many people so crazy about the Harry Potter movies??
I haven't seen the new one yet, but I've watched the first four in the series. I mean...there alright, but they are all way too long, and some of the characters seem kind of silly. It all seems a little juvenile to me, but maybe that's the target audience (10 to 16 year olds).
I haven't read any of the books...are they alot better then the movies??
If I read the books first, would I enjoy the movies more??
I would hope so, because if not, I don't understand why Harry Potter is so popular.

The movies are good, but the books are MUCH MUCH BETTER. The books pull you into Harry's world in such detail that it is really enjoyable. And I personally think you'll enjoy the movies more if you read the books, b/c you'll be able to fill in what the directors leave out, and it really does help.
